Gosu Group’s Battlefront Heroes is advancing on the Facebook battlefield, climbing to over 277,000 monthly active players, according to our app tracking service AppData. The game challenges players to build a military base, expand their army and defeat enemies to obtain resources.
The game’s setup will be familiar to fans of Galaxy Factions on mobile or Deep Space Fleet on Facebook, among others, as they revolve around the same basic ideas.
Players start Battlefront Heroes with a destroyed base and a quest to rebuild. Barracks are used to recruit soldiers, and players can click and hold on the map to deploy these soldiers during battle. From there, soldiers attack their nearest enemy automatically, until one side runs out of resources or units.
Players can further expand their base with the use of crystals and food, two free currencies. Food is grown on farms, while crystals come from mines, and both materials are stored in separate facilities with limited capacities. As players progress, they’ll need to upgrade their base’s command center to unlock new structures, and can upgrade most other buildings to increase their productivity.
While mines and farms produce resources over time, players are encouraged to continue battling others to earn resources instantly, and in bulk. They can also purchase gun turrets, land mines and other weapons to protect their own home base from invaders while they’re away.
Battlefront Heroes is available to play for free on Facebook. You can follow the game’s stats going forward on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
