CityVille: Add the luck of the Irish to your town with St. Patrick's Day items

A new series of six decorations and buildings have been added to the CityVille marketplace in a St. Patrick's Day theme. While six buildings may not be enough, these are some of the most important buildings we've seen released in the game for some time. Why? You'll need to build them and collect from them if you want to finish the Rainbow in your town, along with its goal. Here's a rundown of the six items.

Shamrock Chateau (Home) Costs: 25 City CashPopulation: 1,150 - 1,930Rent: 300 coins every 18 hours
Blarney Stone House (Home) Costs: 35,000 coinsPopulation: 180 - 340Rent: 373 coins every 2.1 days
McGroarty Mansion (Home) Costs: 40 City CashPopulation: 1,500 - 2,400Rent: 275 coins every eight hours
Patty's Place (Home) Costs: 60,000 coinsPopulation: 260 - 500Rent: 310 coins every day
Leprechaun (Decoration) Costs: 15,000 coinsPayout Bonus: 1% to surrounding homes and businesses; extra 1% to St. Patrick's Day items
Emerald Apartments (Home) Costs: 55 City CashPopulation: 2,500 - 4,500Rent: 304 coins every four hours
Again, you'll need to build three Irish Buildings to finish the Rainbow Connection goal in your city. You must build new St. Patrick's Day buildings for this to count, so having items from last year's event does nothing. Also, the more you have in your city, the more Shamrocks you'll be able to collect for your Rainbow, as they drop at random when tending these new buildings. Just make sure to purchase the ones you're interested in now, rather than later, as they'll only be available for a limited time!

FarmVille Luck of the Irish Goals: Everything you need to know

To help celebrate St. Patrick's Day in FarmVille, a new series of nine goals has been released in the game called "Luck of the Irish." You'll receive some animals, farm boosts and more for completing them, but you only have the next two weeks to do so. Remember to work on these goals each time you login to your farms in order to have the best chance of completing them all in time!

Pinch Me, I'm Irish Get 4 CloversHarvest 50 SoybeansHarvest 2 Livestock Pens
For this "Get 4 Clovers" task, along with all other "Get X Item" tasks in this goal series, you'll need to ask your friends to send them to you. For completing this first goal, you'll receive 125 XP, a Leprechaun Pig and 2,500 coins.

As you can see, these goals turn from standard St. Patrick's Day in theme to being more about magic and illusions, but if you're a fan of limited edition or otherwise exclusive items for your farms, you'll want to make sure to finish them either way. Remember to keep asking your friends for help and use your many farms wisely to plant all of these crops, as you can even work a bit ahead of the game to finish them even faster! Good luck!

FarmVille Irish Trees: Boom Tree and Gorse Tree

Two new trees have hit the FarmVille marketplace this evening, both in the new Ireland item theme. The two trees are the Boom Tree and the Gorse Tree. Interesting names, right? The Gorse Tree costs 5 Farm Cash, while the Boom Tree is the level two option, meaning it costs more at 10 Farm Cash.

Remember, as usual, you don't have to buy both trees from the store, and can actually skip the Boom Tree altogether if you're a tree farmer, as you'll be able to earn a Boom Tree (eventually, yet randomly) as a Mystery Seedling from your Gorse Trees, or from those seedlings posted by your friends on their walls.

If you do plan to purchase these trees, you have just two weeks to do so, before they'll disappear, potentially not to be seen again.

FarmVille Irish Animals: Connemara Pony and Irish Hare

Tonight's FarmVille update brought with it two (technically three) new animals in the Connemara Pony and Irish Hare. Our prediction about the cost of the Connemara Pony has been proven correct, as it is now available for 24 Farm Cash. Remember, by purchasing one of these Ponies and placing it in your Horse Stable with a Stallion (ether wandering or permanent) you'll have a chance of breeding the Connemara Pony Foal that can be shared with friends. Even for a gray Pony, it's foal would still have to be cute, right?

Meanwhile, the Irish Hare is still a bit expensive, at 12 Farm Cash each. Will we ever see a day when new limited edition animals no longer solely cost Farm Cash? I doubt it, but we'll make sure to scream to the four corners (in excitement of course) if that day ever comes.

FarmVille Irish Decorations: European Robins, Irish Library, Bench Set and more

Tonight's FarmVille update sees the release of two new buildings and four decorative items in the current Ireland limited edition item theme. This update's an unusual one, though, as two of the items are available under a limited time "sale." Remember, this isn't the first time Zynga has released new items and placed them immediately on sale, so you'll know that you're actually getting a bargain with these two items if you do decide to splurge.

The European Robins is a pair of decorative birds for 9 Farm Cash, while the Irish Library is a large building that costs only 18 Farm Cash. Currently, there isn't any marking letting us know when these sale prices will expire, so plan ahead if you have any interest in them whatsoever.

One other building is now available: an Irish Shop, which is actually one of the cutest buildings I can recall from recent memory. Sure, it's charming details will cost you, as the Irish Shop is priced at 20 Farm Cash, but if you have that lying around, I wouldn't blame you for making the splurge.

The other items are a picnic Bench Set for 15,000 coins, an Irish Stone Wall (covered in lovely yellow flowers) that costs 10,000 coins per piece and a grassy mound covered in Wild Crocus that costs 8,000 coins. All told, the coin items here aren't terribly exciting, although the Irish Stone Wall is quite lovely on its own (whether you currently have an Irish theme on your farm or not).

Whatever your opinion on these new items, all of them will leave the store in a matter of two weeks, so make sure to shop early and fast so as to not forget these items are there and then lose out on them when they expire.

FarmVille Animal Sneak Peek: Irish Cob Horse & Shamrock Unicorn

Unicorn lovers rejoice! It looks as though another variety of unicorn will be added to FarmVille in the current St. Patrick's Day limited edition item theme. This unicorn is of course green, with a cute bunch of shamrocks on its side. We believe it will be (fittingly) called the Shamrock Unicorn.

Another new animal also offers reason to become excited, as an Irish Cob Horse and Foal are apparently launching soon in the game as well. With its name, it's clear that this animal will also appear in the St. Patrick's Day theme in some fashion, although this seems like something more suited to a Mystery Game, rather than a store release (as store released animals tend to be a bit more whimsical than the Mystery Game animals). It is believed that you'll be able to place this Irish Cob Horse into your Horse Stable to have a chance at breeding an Irish Cob Foal.
