FarmVille Scam Alert: 25 free Farm Cash offer is deceiving, a fraud

As much as we'd all love 25 free Farm Cash for no reason at all, it's not going to happen anytime soon. The most recent FarmVille scam offers just that, but do not fall for it, whatever you do. While it may seem convincing--even the page that the News Feed posts links to looks legit--this is just another attempt at your personal information.

While Zynga has ~~rarely~~ been known to compensate its players for extensive game outages or other reasons, this is not how the company would notify its players of that. If anything, Zynga would automatically credit your account for the Farm Cash or make it available from within the game through a pop-up window.

Again, do your FarmVille friends a favor and spread the news of this scam just like those before it. If you mistakenly clicked on the News Feed post, be sure to change your Facebook password, change similar passwords for other websites and services, and run a full virus scan. And just remember, in the words of G.I. Joe: Knowing is half the battle.
