Once again, we will keep this as a rumor until Nintendo confirms the release. Kotaku has come into possession of some pictures that has said to come from a new Luigi 2DS. No other information about this has been given.

Over the weekend a listing appeared on Newegg.com for a Wii U release of the 3DS title Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Newegg currently lists Dark Moon for $39.99 and a December 31st release date, which could simply be a placeholder date if the rumor is in fact true.
In support of the rumor, NintendoNews.com actually contacted a representative at Newegg to confirm the listing. The representative at Newegg says that they 'guarantee' the information is correct and comes 'directly from the manufacturer'.

While the information provided on Newegg.com could be a mistake, it is still a very intriguing rumor. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is one of the most popular titles on the 3DS and would be a great fit on Nintendo's home console, Wii U. Hopefully within the next couple of months we will hear from Nintendo about Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon on the Wii U.\

Below are supposed scans from the store Smyths. If these images are indeed true, Nintendo could be releasing a "Mario & Luigi Premium Pack." The Wii U would come bundled with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U. According to the Ad, the bundle will release sometime in November.
"Go, Target! Use your Minimize attack on that Pikachu ... 3DS XL!" According to a NeoGAF thread with images from a Blu-ray.com forum poster, Target plans to sell the upcoming Pikachu-branded 3DS XL at a hefty discount when it launches in North America on March 24. By just how much, you ask? How does $40 sound? If these Target ad scans are to be believe, Target will sell the Pikachu 3DS XL for $160 at release, far down from the normal $200 asking price. But the deals don't stop there. According to the ad, the red, blue and pink 3DS XL models will also be on sale for $160, and the original model will be available for $130. That's an equal $40 off of the original $170 asking price. With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity all hitting the console before the end of this month, there hasn't been a better time yet in 2013 to pick up a 3DS.
Couple that with the current 3DS XL registration promotion that nets you one of five free games (see here), and this becomes a downright steal. That is, of course, assuming these Target ad scans are legit. We've reached out to Target for confirmation.

Anonymous sources have reached out to Inside Social Games, indicating that Zynga might be looking to buy a few smaller core gaming developers. What is core gaming? Shooters, action role-players, racing games -- games that generally appeal to males, ages 13 and up. Think Halo, Gears of War and Call of Duty. While core games do not have the same number of players as social games, Zynga may have reached a saturation point, and the studio is looking for new styles of games to attract new players. Does this mean we might soon see a ShooterVille or a real, persistent version of FarmVille? All of this talk is based on rumors from anonymous sources, but it isn't hard to imagine Zynga branching out of the social market, at least in more limited ways at first. While Facebook gamers still make up the vast majority of Zynga's customers, is it possible that the game maker is trying to increase the number of visitors to its newly launched Zynga.com? Or is this just a case of a large company trying to learn about different genres from smaller companies that know better? Time will tell.

Big time social game maker Zynga looks to be on a tear with new projects. This time, CEGamers has found promotional art and text within one of Zynga's infamous surveys for a game known as either Pirate Island or Rogues & Royals. The survey asks players for their impressions of both names associated with these images, and what they think a game with ether name would play like. Then, however, Zynga provides the following teaser:Set sail for your own Caribbean paradise in a world of intrigue, pirates, and romance. Your island will become home to a cast of exotic characters who need your help in their quests for adventure, glory, and affairs of the heart. Team up with your friends as Crewmates and uncover the island's many mysteries. The choice is yours: will you build your island into a stately tropical paradise? Or a rough-and-tumble pirates' haven?Other than that, little to nothing is known about this game that Zynga is testing the waters with. (Perhaps Zynga has learned a thing or two from The Sims Social?) The artwork in the image looks strikingly similar to CastleVille, as CEGamers points out. That said, it's possible that Zynga Dallas is the studio that will handle Pirate Island/Rogues & Royals should it survive these surveys.

Between a SimCity game for Facebook that's supposedly in the works and a cross-platform sequel to the acclaimed series, all signs point to some SimCity game that's being worked on somewhere for something and that's to release some time. Fueling the fire behind the rampant rumors are seven leaked pieces of concept art and in-game images posted by users on NeoGAF, a popular discussion board for gamers. The images first appeared in German gaming magazine Gamestar within a feature claiming that the images depict SImCity 5. The magazine reports that developer Maxis' SimCity 5 is due out in 2013, and that it's about 30 percent complete. However, platforms weren't discussed in the piece, it seems. According to the roughly translated story, staples like graphs, metrics and interactions with city councils, SimCity 5 will focus more on multiplayer than ever.
Players' cities will create regions with intertwining economies that rely on the fluctuating costs of essential commodities. The game will also take a city's citizens into account more. For instance, if unemployment rates increase, so will the amount of homeless roaming the streets. For those who've been hankering for a new SimCity regardless of where it lands, this forum post is well worth the read, which also contains all of the leaked images. Remember when we suggested that The Sims Social get a hold of some big time features as a means of getting players back? Well, ask and you The fan site doesn't cite any sources, nor does it provide screen shots, so let's treat this as one helluva juicy rumor for The Sims Social fans. Sims Social Fansite believes that EA has signed a deal with Toyota to make the heavily-branded feature happen. Furthermore, the Prius V will be introduced to the game as a quest reward after Playfish runs an Alice in Wonderland theme the week of Jan. 19, according to Sims Social Fansite, and will only be usable for two weeks.
After Jan. 19, Toyota's green vehicle will arrive in the game as a quest reward for players that complete eco-friendly tasks like recycling and checking electrical appliances throughout a green-themed week of quests, the fan site reports. As of this writing, the article detailing this information has been removed from the website. We can't confirm whether any of this real, but if it is, Sims Social Fansite certainly paints a likely picture.

As it turns out, even the mighty Zynga isn't immune to the wear and tear of the market. (But you better bet CEO Mark Pincus [pictured] wants his say.) The New York Post reports, citing two sources with knowledge of the company's plans, that Zynga will call in a delay of its imminent initial public offering (IPO) to November. After beelining for one of the biggest IPOs in a long time, the creator of hits like FarmVille and CityVille follows a dozen of delayed IPOs due to rickety market conditions after the nation's credit rating dropped earlier this month. "It wouldn't be illogical for the bank to delay a sale, given the markets," said one source to NY Post. "It makes sense for a bank to protect its clients from a market that could potentially be a bottomless pit."
What the source is referring to is "the bubble," or the possibility that all the expectations for this market--social games and virtual goods sales--driving up its value could be inflated, meaning that if these expectations aren't fulfilled, prices could plummet and lose investors quite a lot of money. (Look up the infamous Dot-Com Bubble for more of what I'm talking about.)
Regardless, the NY Post writes that Zynga is still pursuing an IPO in earnest, most likely complete with its CEO's most recently-approved edits. It looks like nothing will stop the company from becoming potentially the most valuable gaming company in the world. Well, nothing save for maybe one game. We've contacted Zynga for comment.

Websites like FrontierVille Info are speculating that, based on recent events, the Oregon Trail expansion in FrontierVille will open its gates by the end of Mach. One of the four areas that have been "Coming Soon" since the game's launch, FrontierVille Info believes The Oregon Trail will open this month because of hints made in its teaser message and recent Goals released in the game. For instance, the teaser mentions medicine, and it's been just a few weeks since the Doctor's Office opened with Goals. 
Finally, because we already have ammo and food in the game--what the teaser for Oregon Trail calls for--all we need is for friends to send us Wagon Axles in a Goal and we'll be Oregon-bound. While it's true that the dots are starting to connect, this is all wild speculation and should be treated as such. But wild guesswork never hurt anybody, right?
