Gold Diggers cheats and tips

We gave Gold Diggers a score of 3.5 out of 5 in our review earlier this morning, and while it's true that the game isn't particularly innovative, it's definitely a solid scroller. Here's a selection of useful tips to help you improve your leaderboard performance.

- If you're just short of unlocking a particularly powerful upgrade, be sure to check out the mission system that you can view on the pause screen. Some of these objectives are very easy to complete, and you'll be rewarded with a decent chunk of gold for your trouble.

- When being chased by the gigantic worm that appears at the top of the screen, it's imperative that you pass over as many of those downward pointing arrows as possible. These will give you a little boost, and are essential for staying one step ahead of the beast. These sequences only last a few seconds, so just hold on!

- Rather than moving fluidly around the screen, the minecart sections require you to leap between the tracks to collect coins, and avoid plummeting into the depths below. A single swipe left or right will move you onto the nearest track in that direction. Do go for as many coins as possible, but don't be so greedy you end your turn!

- The best places to grab serious chunks of change are at the beginning of the "burrowing" sections of the game. Here you'll find pictograms built out of coins - steer your ship in very wide left and right bursts to grab as many of these free coins as possible.

- At the end of each run, you'll be given a very limited amount of time to chip away at a gigantic mountain of gold. Don't limit yourself to tapping with one finger here. Rap three or four fingers in rapid succession over this pile of money to take home some seriously useful bling.

- Looking to splash out on some upgrades? Stay away from spending money on the different wagons in the early days, as these only provide a cosmetic change to your drill. If you're looking to play the game for a long time, it's better to invest first in those upgrades that give you a permanent gold-gathering advantage.

- One of the best upgrades you can invest in is a new character. If you can scratch 15,000 gold together, Bambi will give you an extra life at the start of every run - and that kind of boost can pay off handsomely in the long run. Alternatively, you might want to unlock Caldwell for the same fee. Playing as this character causes high-value diamonds to appear sporadically on the playing area.

Plants Vs Zombies 2 Cheats And Tips

Plants Vs Zombies 2 is now out on App Stores all around the world, and we gave the game a mighty score of 4.5 out of 5 in our Plants Vs Zombies 2 earlier today. Now here are some essential hints and tips for getting through even the trickiest stages without spending a cent.

- In the special survival stages of Plants Vs Zombies 2, it's incredibly important to stay on your toes and throw the randomly offered object into the most pressing lane. If you've been given a defensive tool, put it in a lane that doesn't have any firepower attached to it yet. If it's an offensive unit, put it in the lane that has the most pressing incoming threat.

- As the game suggests, you should try to get at least three sunflowers into play in each level, but don't focus on them one after another from the very start, or you'll soon become overwhelmed by the approaching undead. Instead, alternate between planting sunflowers, and planting offensive plants and defensive items.

- You always want to take the Potato Mine into each stage. At a cost of 25 suns it's very cheap, has a quick recharge, and is incredibly useful in the early parts of each stage when you need to build up your economy, rather than splurging on offense. The Wall-nut is also great for keeping the zombies at bay, and for buying you a little extra time to get your lawn in order.

- The power-ups in Plants Vs Zombies 2 really are powerful, so save them up for the Star missions which are much harder than the regular stages. Don't use them in the main campaign missions - earn your coins in these levels and then spend them in the Star stages. The best power-up is the gusty wind as it can clear the entire screen of zombies very quickly.

- Certain plants can fire through three entire lanes - put these in the middle of the map where they can do the most likely damage. The fire-flinging plant is particularly good, because it only costs 150 suns to deploy and can clear out a lot of undead with its devastating damage.

- Be careful when deploying Wall-nuts on the lawn - they're very useful, but they also take a long time to recharge.

- In the Egyptian stages of Plants Vs Zombies 2, some of the zombies will be protected by pottery. If you want to take these guys down quickly, get a Bloomerang plant into play - these are great for chipping through zombies and zombie armor.

- Don't forget that you can use plant food on sun-generating flowers, as well as on offensive units. It's well worth spending your money topping up this powerful upgrade in those Star levels that challenge you to earn a certain amount of sunlight over a very short period of time.

- In the Pirate stages, unlock the Cherry Bomb and the extra plant slot as soon as possible, as they are both extremely useful in these levels. The latter is particularly important as it allows you to field seven object types rather than six, and the Cherry Bomb is as explosively useful as it sounds.

- You can actually get rid of items you've placed on the lawn, and get some of the currency cost refunded back. This is really important in levels that place a limit on how many plants you can place on the lawn at any one time.

Kingdom Rush Frontiers: Cheats and tips

Kingdom Rush Frontiers picked up a 4 out of 5 star score in our review earlier today, and we think fans of the first game are in for quite a treat with this sequel. If you're new to the series, here are some useful hints and tips for staying alive on the battlefield.

- Never leave one of your special reinforcements on cooldown, as long as there are enemies on the screen. Yes, you might have a stronger enemy assault coming up, but you want to keep your current troops alive for as long as possible, and these reinforcements can really turn the tide of battle in your favor.

- You don't have to wait for an enemy to come into contact with your defenses for a battle to occur. Tap on the tower they're attached to, then hit the blue flag icon in the radial wheel that pops up. Now tap where you want them to travel to, and they'll move off into battle. Just make sure you don't leave a lane exposed to an attack by doing so.

- It's all well and good having melee troops getting stuck into the action, but you'll be helping them out a great deal by having ranged support nearby. Your warriors can take a fair beating, but they'll live longer - and the enemy will drop faster - if there's a rain of arrows coming down at the same time.

- It takes a little while for your Rain of Fire reinforcement to land at the destination you choose. For this reason, it's important to aim this deadly firepower just ahead of the marching enemy. That way they'll march straight into the explosion, and you'll get the most effective use from this devastating source of damage.

Tetris Blitz cheats and tips

You must think quickly to dominate Tetris Blitz for iOS and Android. Electronic Arts' newest game gives you just two minutes to achieve a high score. Where should tetriminos go? Which power-ups should you buy? No worries. You'll score tons of points by following these puzzle-solving tips.
-Quickly form lines to build the Frenzy meter on the left. Filling it activates Frenzy Mode, which lets you form chain reactions that result in big-time combos; lines are worth double points.

-Frenzy blocks allow you to make longer cascades.

-Equipping power-ups before playing is the best way to score the most points. Tap the question mark next to each power-up for a description of what it does. You may equip up to three at a time.

-A weekly power-up is available for a limited time unless you purchase it outright or use it a set number of times to permanently add the item to your collection.
-Power-up blocks randomly fall into place, and you must form lines that incorporate these special tetriminos to activate them.

-Unused power-ups will automatically trigger when time expires.

-Like the Tetris Blitz Facebook page to receive 1,000 coins.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger cheats, trainer and more

"There ain't no smokin' allowed in these parts." Those were the last words of the so-called rootin'est, tootin'est cowboy of the West, now reduced to a pile cactus scum. It's a shame that he and I crossed paths but it's more unfortunate for him that I had Cheat Happens on my side.
