How to Lower Your Wanted Level in Assassin's Creed 4

You'll get into all sorts of trouble playing Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, particularly when it comes to sailing the high seas in Edward Kenway's Jackdaw. Sinking ships brings attention, and before long, your wanted level is bound to rise. Never fear. Here are three surefire ways to reduce the heat.
For more AC4 strategies, check out Prima's official eGuide. Desynchronize. This will automatically reset your wanted level to incognito.Bribe a local officer, which resets your wanted level. Thankfully, you'll run into officers throughout the game while visiting towns and villages. Look for one near a harbormaster and conquered forts. Just keep in mind that you'll pay a higher price depending on the level. Wanted level 1 costs 200R, wanted level 2 is 400R, wanted level 3 is 600R and wanted level 4 is 800R.Board a ship and choose the option to lower your wanted level. Doing this makes it decrease by one grade.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - Infamous Pirates Trailer

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is coming out for the Wii U in just over a month. In the latest trailer, the characters players will meet in the game are featured. It shows a lot of gameplay but I'm really excited about the exploration more than the characters. If the game is as large and dynamic as Ubisoft says, it should be a fun game to cruise around in. We'll know pretty soon!

Assassin's Creed IV Explores the Beauty of Next-Gen

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag isn't too far from release, and fans will be able to experience this new adventure however they see fit. That said, Ubisoft sees an advantage with the next-gen versions of the game, and revealed a video where associate producer Sylvain Trottier points out where the biggest differences lie. The explanation's a bit technical, talking about the design of the ocean and showing how shading comes into play. It's still worth watching, though, especially if you want to see how hard developers are working on next-generation tech.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag releases on October 29th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC, and in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Interview reveals new Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag details

Pirates, rum and Templars, oh my! The world of Assassin's Creed is now bigger than ever with Ubisoft's upcoming blockbuster, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. With the game's launch just over the horizon, we had a chance to chat with Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's Creative Director, Jean Guesdon, about the world, its design and how Black Flag will forever reshape a series that's delivered on so many levels.

[GameZone]: First off, thanks for joining us for an interview! Can you start off by giving our readers a better glance at what you do on Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, what that looks like on daily basis, and what other development areas you work closely with?

[Jean Guesdon]: I'm the Creative Director of the project. I am ultimately responsible for the content of the game, which means that I have my word to say on any aspect of story, gameplay, realization and overall structure of the game.

In the early phase of the project, the conception, my role is to align everybody in the same direction. I'm the owner of the "vision" of the game, and I have to share it so that everybody understands what we're making altogether. Then, when in active development, I have to answer A LOT of questions, because it's the time in the project when we have to make choices in one or another direction depending on resources or technical issues. And finally, in the polish phase, I have to remind everybody of the WHY of the project, the key elements they should focus on, like the fluidity for example.

Since the beginning I'm also working a lot with the producer and the management to make sure that both content and resources are aligned and that we properly manage our scope. Another team we've been really close during the project was the development marketing team – the guys responsible of the incredible assets you can see from trailers and screenshots. This is important so we can communicate on what the game really is.

Assassin's Creed III Review: The Best Open World Can Get

The things I love most about the Assassin's Creed series, is that you immerse yourself in the characters and there is always a ton of things to accomplish. Assassin's Creed III is no exception to this when it comes to things to do, but, this also hurts the game a little. I don't feel as connected to Connor and with everything available to do, it feels a little burdening. That said, it's a fantastic game and I'm not the least bit upset that I've bought it and would highly recommend it to everyone.

You follow Connor from childhood into the adult seeking vengeance for killing his mother and constantly torturing his village. Along the way you are mentored by master assassin, Achilles Davenport, who pushes you towards missions and lets you take over his homestead.

The economy in AC3 is different than the other games, you actually have to work for your money instead of collecting it from the bank. At your homestead you help passerby's and extend stay as long as they agree to sell you their leftovers. With this you buy and craft items to sell to local shops you find along the game. Crafting is pretty neat, if you have the recipe, supplies and the right people in your homestead you can get items for cheap. Keeps these or sell them, it's up to you. It takes a little getting used to how everything works but once you get it down you will be a master businessman making bank in no time.

Combat in AC3 is still pretty simple and once you figure out how to chain kills you can start taking down groups of enemies without taking any damage. If you screw up your chain or someone hits you, I found it extremely hard to get back into rhythm and instead would run away then come back and start the chain over. The kill animations in combat keep you going and make you look pretty awesome when friends are watching.

Something that was added to AC3 that I feel is a plus, is hunting. You can hunt any animal you see from rabbits to, moose, to cougars. Tracking, setting up traps and fighting when the animals fight back. It's really fun to just run around hunting, skinning and selling the furs to the local shops to make good money. With this there is good ways of killing the animals and bad ways of doing it. An example would be shooting a wolf, this will damage the pelt and you won't make as much money when selling it.

Another cool thing that was added was your boat. There is a mission where you take it out for a spin and get a crash course on being the captain, not long after that you are being chased by pirates and have to defend your vessel. Things like this is what I love seeing in the game and what has made it one of my favorites.

Like I was saying with everything you can do in the game, I mean everything (I don't know how they fit it all on one DVD), there are little issues that bothered me a little. During the cut scenes you are always wearing the standard Assassin's garb. The way to equip new clothing is a little hokey. In your stash area, there looks to be racks where clothes you have purchased looks like they should go, but they were never there. During some missions areas are blocked off limiting the paths you can take where I thought it shouldn't be. Lack of instruction on how weapons were used. The rope dart, being the biggest culprit. The instructions popped up briefly then went away and I didn't catch them. I had to look online on how to use it. The hidden blade didn't work the same way it does in the other games also.

Other than what I said above and little glitches, this is the funnest Assassin's Creed in the series and I highly recommend you to pick it up, especially if you are a fan of the series or are on the fence about it. You won't regret it!

These Assassin's Creed 3 PC Trainers will help hone your hatchet game

So, you're a die hard PC gamer, so much so that you waited nearly a month for Assassin's Creed 3 to hit Windows. But don't worry, your patience will be kindly rewarded. Not only will (or should) get the best-looking assassinations around, but you have the power of the PC beneath it all. Of course, that means cheats, cheats that will send you soaring toward stab-tastic success.

Thanks to Cheat Happens, there is a series of Trainers (a series of modifications and cheats encased within a single download) for Assassin's Creed 3 that will provide numerous benefits to players that so choose to download them. For instance, how does infinite health, ammo, stealth mode and zero reload sound? If that doesn't tickle your fancy, how about a flying mode or the ability to teleport?

What's even better is that these Trainers are compatible with both the Ubisoft Digital and Steam versions of Assassin's Creed 3. Of course, we recommend using these Trainers purely to have fun and practice your moves for the multiplayer. Then again, do what you want with them--they're your Trainers. Just remember: Cheaters never prosper ... or something like that.

Assassin's Creed creator Ubisoft promises more social games in 2011

The company behind games like CSI: Crime City for Facebook and the Assassin's Creed franchise, Ubisoft, says that social games will be a bigger part of its strategy for 2011. The French publisher told All Things Digital that more than 15 percent of its employees in the Ubisoft San Francisco offices will be dedicated to "companion gaming." This new strategy involves the company using Facebook games to promote coinciding consoles releases. Remember the Assassin's Creed Facebook game, Project Legacy, released to promote the second game in the series?

Yeah, you're going to see a lot more of that in 2011. The third-largest independent videogames publisher hopes to turn this trend into dollars, though its previous efforts haven't caught on like competitors such as Zynga's games. And almost inversely, Ubisoft VP of Digital Publishing Chris Early said, "Digital will not kill physical. There will always be support for a certain percent."

While he is likely correct, I'm not sure that's the mindset you want when investing 15 percent of your developers into an online-only platform. "You have to look at the top 10 sellers, or rely on a friend," Early said to ATD of the issues surrounding online game sales. "There's a significant hurdle to digital." This couldn't be more true on Facebook, and it's quite a hurdle for Ubisoft to jump over. Can the company can do it with backing from iconic industry names like Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia? Companies including Konami, EA and Disney (and Ubisoft) have tried before and failed, so here is their chance to prove it.
