Sony Santa Monica's big reveal during E3 next week will actually new content for God of War: Ascension. Back in May, Sony Santa Monica tweeted a cryptic "4 weeks to E3..." message, leading to speculation that the studio could reveal a new game for the PS4. That rumor was strengthened when VentureBeatposted Twitch's E3 livestreaming schedule, revealing some sort of announcement to be made.
It now appears that what Sony Santa Monica will reveal is actually just upcoming DLC for God of War: Ascension. The specific description reads: "TBA new content for GoW: Ascension."
While it's not nearly as exciting as a new title, I suppose we could all use a little more God of Warin our lives. Let's not lose hope though; there's still a chance we could see a big reveal from the studio during Sony's PlayStation media briefing on Monday at 6:00pm Pacific.
