SlotoQuest developer Renatus has released its newest game on Facebook, a social strategy RPG called Brave Tales, which takes players to a time before modern civilizations and asks them to defend and claim new lands that have been taken over by a variety of nasty creatures.
Brave Tales features battles of varying lengths and difficulties, giving players a chance to test their skills using multiple kinds of characters. Actions are activated by clicking on interactive items, and characters complete actions automatically once assigned. It’s in the combination of these assigned actions that players will find success or failure, but magical powers like special attacks or healing spells can help turn the tide of battle back towards the player when things become tight.
Quests push players forward, and earned resources and experience points can be turned into new upgrades or skills for each player’s multiple heroes. New weapons can be crafted in the blacksmith’s shop, and any rescued lands will automatically generate additional goods over time.
In addition to the single player campaign, Brave Tales features multiplayer battles called duels, which see players attacking other users’ heroes to take over their land and earn more resources. Renatus has also hinted at cooperative play with friends, which should be coming in a future game update.
Brave Tales is now available to play for free on Facebook. The game is supported via microtranscations, which allow for the purchase of additional supplies and treasure chests that contain rare items players may not be able to readily earn otherwise. You can keep track of the game’s progress on AppData, our tracking tool for mobile and social games and developers.
